Yes. The safety of your pet is our highest concern. Herbs are tested for multiple contaminants including heavy metals, toxins, and bacteria. Medicinal herbs have been used to treat animals for thousands of years, it just hasn’t been made so readily available and convenient until now. However, allergies are always possible just as they are in humans. If you notice any adverse effects, discontinue usage. Although not fool proof, you can try placing a drop of the formula on your pet’s abdomen -anywhere with little or no hair. If there is no reaction after a few hours, your pet is most likely not allergic to the herbs used in the extract. If the skin becomes red, swollen, or itchy, do not use as your pet may be allergic.
Shake well. Formulas are made in small batches, if the consistency is too thick, add a few drops of water and shake.
Yes. If your pet has a sensitive stomach, you may want to start with half the amount for each dose for the first three days. Loose stool is possible if the dosage is too much. Generally, it only takes a few doses for your pet's digestion to get use to the herbs, however if it persists then lower the dose until it stops being loose. If you do not observe any improvement you can increase the dose by 50%, or add a third dosage during the day. The pain formula may take a few days to notice improvement if the condition is chronic such as arthritis.
"Seed to Shelf” Consciousness, promoted by Dr. David Eisenberg of Harvard University, is an approach to tracking herbs and maintaining accountability from the origin as seeds, through planting, maturation, harvesting, processing, and testing, until the herbs are delivered to you. Our supplier employs the following safety processes and checks to assure safety, quality, and clinical efficacy. These processes and commitments are why our herbal supplier was chosen for each Healthy Paws Herbals product. They also utilize eco-sensitive farming and follow the guidelines specified by Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species so as not to harm animals or herbal species.
Glycerine is a colorless, odorless, viscous liquid that is sweet-tasting and non-toxic. Glycerin can be found in cough syrups, expectorants, toothpaste and skin care products. It is made of a group of polyols, organic compounds containing hydroxyl groups. It can be made from animals or plants. Healthy Paws Herbals uses organic vegetable glycerin to extract the herbs, providing a liquid base that is easily administered to your pet's food.
